Our Process

We have a rapid turnaround (3-5 days) on diagnoses such as inflammatory myopathies, muscular dystrophies, metabolic and congenital myopathies.

Weekend Policy

Should you need a result on Saturday, you must contact us to make special arrangements to avoid loss and/or degradation of the patient’s biopsy material.

Fresh Specimens Accepted

It is essential that the tissue be collected and immediately triaged to avoid any deterioration of the tissue. The muscle biopsy requisition with pertinent clinical history, as well as clinician contact information must accompany all specimens. Please contact us to discuss specimen triage and transport.

Local specimens accepted Monday – Friday
Out-of-state specimens accepted Tuesday – Friday (surgery Monday – Thursday)
