Dr. Dvanajscak joined our staff following the completion of his fellowship training in renal pathology at Arkana Laboratories. He received his MD and Master of Science degrees from the University of Colorado Denver. He completed his pathology residency at the University of California San Diego, where he received the Department of Pathology Saltzstein Award for excellence in patient-oriented service and served as chief resident from 2017-2018. At Arkana, Dr. Dvanajscak is involved in research examining kidney injury due to hemolysis and chemotherapy. He is also contributing to the development of a histologic grading scheme for acute tubular injury in zebrafish. In his free time, Dr. Dvanajscak enjoys travel, sports and spending time with family and friends.
In 2018, Dr. Dvanajscak became board certified in Anatomic Pathology. He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the College of American Pathologists, and the Renal Pathology Society.
