This year’s ASCP Medical Laboratory Professionals Week brought a thrilling twist to our celebration with “Mystery Under the Microscope,” a Scooby-Doo inspired theme that had our lab team solving cases both real and fictional. Throughout the week, our dedicated lab professionals embraced the mystery with daily themed dress-up days that would make even Velma proud.
Monday’s Galaxy Day had staff reaching for the stars, Tuesday’s Monochrome Day created picture-perfect color-coded moments, Wednesday’s Barbie Day added a splash of pink perfection, Thursday’s Twin Day had everyone seeing double, and Friday’s Arkana Swag Day showcased our team spirit in style. The week’s detective work culminated in an engaging murder mystery orchestrated by our lab manager, Stephanie Hendrix, giving our staff a chance to put their analytical skills to work in a whole new way.
While the themed fun kept spirits high, the true purpose of Lab Week remains crystal clear under our microscope: celebrating the exceptional professionals who serve as the critical first step in patient care. Our lab staff’s meticulous work and expertise form the foundation of accurate diagnoses and effective treatments, making them the unsung heroes of healthcare.
