What We Do

Arkana Laboratories is passionate about delivering the highest level of diagnostic expertise and service possible to those we serve. This mission includes clinical investigation and translational research that we feel are critical to deepening our understanding of pathobiology and transforming disease treatment through an FDA-compliant contract research organization (CRO).

Arkana GCLP-trained staff, CLIA certified laboratories, and research facilities enable us to partner with academic, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology institutions at all stages of research and development; from initial proof of concept to delivery of results.

Our pathologists and research scientists publish extensively in peer-reviewed scientific journals and present their research at national and international conferences.

Clinical & Pre-Clinical Trial Services

Arkana Laboratories is an experienced contract research organization (CRO) provider of diagnostic services for clinical trials investigating therapeutics targeting kidney and neuromuscular disease. We have served as the central anatomic pathology laboratory for numerous clinical trials focusing on kidney diseases (e.g. glomerulonephritis).

Our team works to foster an environment of collaboration in all trial stages (Phase I-IV) from protocol design to delivery of results. We understand the importance of providing timely results and will provide a rapid turnaround time for research and clinical trial diagnosis.

Arkana’s team will work to advance your pre-clinical research by designing and carrying out projects that seek to answer specific questions relevant to the pathophysiologic mechanism of the human kidney or neuromuscular disease.

Arkana’s Multiplex Imaging Center is a certified partner with Akoya Biosciences in their CRO Partnership Program, specializing in multiplex imaging of human tissues. We have an Akoya Polaris 9-color fluorescence and brightfield whole slide scanning microscope with InForm software for spectral unmixing, Halo AI image processing software, Halo Link access for remote collaborations, and specialized modules for niche image processing projects.
