Electron microscopy on a muscle biopsy with myopathic changes showed an incidental “waffle-like” structure within the sarcoplasm (see arrow). This is felt to be derived from T-tubules (T-tubule network). We occasionally find these as a nonspecific finding in muscle biopsies.
