thankful and grateful for Dr. Walker and Dr. Gail Walker

Thankful and grateful. These two words are seemingly the same but actually, have different definitions. The dictionary says that being thankful is a feeling while being grateful is an action.

There are few people in the world that you can actually see their heart through their actions. Our founder, Dr. Patrick Walker and his wife Gail, are two of those people. They care and give to people they’ve never met, and go out of their way to treat the ones they know even better. They give people second chances, they listen to us, they invite us into their home – essentially, they have made us family. They go above and beyond to make sure their employees are cared for – from 401ks to health insurance, to a wellness program – they continue to give far beyond what is typical. The employee Christmas gift to them each year is even a gift to one of their favorite causes.

There’s a quote that says, “Feeling thankful and not expressing it by showing gratitude is like wrapping a present and not giving it away.” We hope our gift to the Children’s Protection Center- Little Rock, AR honors the legacy of giving that the Walkers exemplify every day.
