World Kidney Day / International Women's Day, female pathologists at Arkana Laboratories

To celebrate the intersection of World Kidney Day and International Women’s Day, we’d like to highlight our female pathologists who work diligently for patients fighting kidney disease.

Dr. Messias has been with Arkana for eight years and directs our renal pathology fellowship program, visiting scholars program, and assists with laboratory compliance.

Dr. Boils has been with Arkana for seven years and might be most known to our social media followers as the creator of our beautiful visual abstracts for #ArkanaJC. Dr. Boils is also an expert in infection-associated kidney disease and you may have read her articles or book chapters on these topics.

Dr. Ambruzs has been with Arkana for five years and shares her expertise with several consortium groups such as CureGN and the Banff TMA Working Group. Dr. Ambruzs is also involved with our lab team where she creates protocols for specimen triage, grossing and electron microscopy adequacy.
