Julie Wood, SPHR, SHRM-SCP Chief People Officer

About

Julie Wood serves as the Chief People Officer (CPO). The CPO is responsible for Human Resources (HR), which includes developing and implementing talent strategy, leadership development, and serving as a culture and change champion in the practice.  

Prior to joining Arkana, Julie owned an HR consulting firm specializing in helping small businesses and non-profit organizations understand and maneuver through complex HR challenges. She brings more than 20 years of global HR experience to Arkana. Before owning her own HR firm, Julie led the global HR function at Heifer International where she served as Vice President of HR Strategy and Operations. 

Julie Wood graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with an emphasis in Community Health from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and the Society for HR Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certifications. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Arkansas Alzheimer’s Association.
