About

Dr. L. Nicholas Cossey joined us in 2013 after completing his fellowship training in renal pathology at Arkana Laboratories. During his fellowship, he received the Renal Pathology Society’s Pathologist-In-Training Best USCAP Abstract Award. He also won the Academy of Clinical Laboratory Physicians and Scientists Paul E. Strandjord Young Investigator Award, in June of 2010. Dr. Cossey received his MD and completed his pathology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, AR. As a resident at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Dr. Cossey taught the renal pathology portion of the sophomore medical student pathology course.

Away from the microscope, you can often find Dr. Cossey helping our IT team problem solve, coordinating our conferences, and developing our social media strategies.

Dr. Cossey is a member of the College of American Pathologists, the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the Renal Pathology Society, and the American Society of Nephrology.
