About

Dr. River Charles joined our physician staff after the successful completion of his renal pathology fellowship at Arkana Labs.  He completed his pathology residency at University of California San Diego where he was Chief Resident and received his MD from University of Minnesota Medical School.  During his fellowship, Dr. Charles developed and co-hosted the “Collidescope” video series sharing interesting collision cases in renal pathology with co-worker Dr. Rachelle Gietzen.

Dr. Charles is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology.  He is a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the College of American Pathologists, the American Society of Nephrology, and the Renal Pathology Society.
