About
Dr. Eric Goold joined Arkana Laboratories after completing fellowships in molecular genetic pathology and neuropathology at the University of Utah. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, as well as molecular genetic pathology.
Dr. Goold has contributed significantly to the fields of neuropathology and molecular diagnostics through his research on gliomas, breast cancer, and pediatric brain tumors. His work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences. He has also played a key role in developing and validating advanced diagnostic assays, including droplet digital PCR and CNS methylation profiling.
In addition to his clinical and research expertise, Dr. Goold has demonstrated a strong commitment to education and global health. He has served in leadership roles such as Chief Resident at the University of Utah and Assistant Medical Director of Immunohistochemistry at ARUP Laboratories, and has been actively involved in global pathology initiatives, including outreach programs in Ghana.
Outside of work, Dr. Goold enjoys rock climbing, hiking, carpentry, and embarking on outdoor adventures.
